The Labyrinth on the property of Pine Island Presbyterian Church is open to people of all faiths and backgrounds for meditative walking. The Labyrinth at Pine Island Lake is mown into the field in the classic seven circuit style shown at the left. Along the path you will find a wide variety of prairie plants and native creatures. This web site is intended as a helpful guide to using the labyrinth.

Directions to the Labyrinth:

The Labyrinth is located on Q Avenue in Texas Township, Michigan between Finnigen Street and 3rd Avenue, almost across the road from Pretty Lake Vacation Camp.

From Kalamazoo and Portage take the Centre Avenue exit from Highway 131 and go west about three miles. After passing Pine Island Lake Plat, at the top of the hill on the right you will see the sign for the Pine Island Presbyterian Church lot. Park in the mown grassy area near Q Avenue. The entrance to the Labyrinth is behind the sign on the property.

Practical Considerations:

The Labyrinth at Pine Island Lake is a mown path in an open field. As such, you may want to consider sun and insect protection. The path is 1/3 of a mile from beginning to the center. There is an exit from the center of the path or you may walk the path back out to make a total walk of 2/3 of a mile.

If you bring pets with you to the labyrinth, please be considerate of others walking the path and clean-up after your pets.
